InterAmerican Medical University and Bethesda Medical Centre professors, physicians, medical personnel, and staff are to be congratulated for their successful implementation of our Hurricane Preparation Guidelines.  Although Hurricane Dean crashed into Corozal, thankfully all of our students, employees and their families are safe.  We are assisting families whose homes were damaged.  Our campus sustained only minor landscaping damage, and our buildings and plant services weathered the storm without harm.  IMU campus was the only fully operational site in town with backup electrical power, water, and Internet service immediately after Hurricane Dean passed over.  Bethesda Medical Centre is fully operational, and InterAmerican Medical University will begin classes on September 24.  IMU sends a big “thank you” to everyone who participated in keeping the IMU community safe.
